3. National Audubon Society



The National Audubon Society is an NGO of birdwatchers which takes many actions to “conserve and restore natural ecosystems, focusing on birds, other wildlife, and their habitats for the benefit of humanity and the earth’s biological diversity.” They always need volunteers who will voice their opinion in the name of the birds and other wildlife, mostly urging the US Congress to act in adequate manner.

4. The Rainforest Foundation



You can do a lot for The Rainforest Foundation, no matter where you live. The organization, founded in 1989 by Sting and his wife, is dedicated to “support indigenous peoples and traditional populations of the world’s rainforest in their efforts to protect their environment and fulfill their rights to land, life and livelihood.” They accept free labor only from local volunteers (from the UK), but anyone who wants help them can support their campaigns via internet or fundraise.
